Erica Ghali Erica Ghali

I have experience with physically and intellectually disabled people and outpatient rehabilitation, supported employment and accommodation for people with mental health difficulties. I have also supervised access visits between children in care and their families, worked in group homes and been a foster carer. I was instrumental in establishing a non-government organisation to support families with children in care (Fin WA) and also worked in in-home family support with families at risk.

In recent years I have gained experience within the Health Department at King Edward Memorial Hospital, the Child Development Service, the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service as well as the Sexual Assault Resource Centre. I also work part-time for the Health Department in establishing the Donor Conception Information Service.
I have a particular interest in mental health support, PTSD, depression, anxiety, chronic pain, parenting, attachment, interpersonal difficulties and all types of trauma. I provide psychoeducation, skills training and teach strategies for managing strong emotions. In addition to this I am trained in Schema Therapy and EMDR (eye-movement desensitisation and reprocessing) and can help people understand their history and how it impacts on their thoughts about themselves now.
I treat people of all ages including children and adolescents.
